ANDY ZACHARIAS

Andy has been teaching in a variety of settings since 1994, and has a bachelors in contrabass performance and masters in music composition from CSULB. Andy is at home teaching theory and technique, focusing on intuition, creativity, improvisation and composition. Andy has taught at the USC Iovine and Young Academy, Cypress College and Orange County High School of the Arts. 

Andy is co-founder and director of The Jewel Box Children’s Theater, a 501(c)(3) non-profit children’s theater, creating accessible, inclusive and equitable theater and music programs for children in the greater Long Beach area.

Andy is also founder of We Synth, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with the mission of creating STEAM music and technology classes for children.
